Sarah Bush Lincoln Health System has served East Central Illinois for decades, operating one of the region’s leading hospitals and a growing network of clinics and outpatient facilities. When Sarah Bush Lincoln expanded their walk-in care services to a dedicated Charleston location at 2040 Lincoln Avenue, Drake Homes & Commercial Builders was selected to build the facility from the ground up.
The project required adherence to strict healthcare construction standards, including medical-grade HVAC and ventilation systems, ADA-compliant patient access and restroom facilities, specialized plumbing for clinical use, and interior layouts designed to support efficient patient flow. Coordination with Sarah Bush Lincoln’s facilities team ensured the build met all regulatory and operational requirements before opening day.
The completed clinic now serves the Charleston community seven days a week, providing residents with convenient access to walk-in medical care close to home — a direct result of a build that came in on time and ready for patients from day one.
