My husband and I have been searching the market for over 2 years to upgrade for our family of 4. Obviously, there’s not much on the market or you’re literally 5th in line to put in an offer.
We own a home now that’s about 1900 sq ft with affordable taxes, but the layout isn’t ideal and it’s on a busy road for small children.
There’s a lot for sale in Riley Creek on Charleston’s west side that looks appealing. Could you build a house there for $300k with at least 2,000 sq ft? My husband called a long time ago and spoke with someone that roughly quoted $450k, much out of the budget. I’m hoping this is because it was during the pandemic and building materials were high.
