🏠 PLAN REVIEW | 1,843 SQ. FT. | 4 BED | 2 BATH
Okay, I really like this one.
First - - 4 bedrooms in only 1,843 square feet is no small feat. They’ve used the space really well without making the house feel like it’s just one big open box.
One of my favorite details is actually right at the front door. I LOVE that they created a small foyer instead of walking straight into the living room. It doesn’t take up a ton of square footage, but it immediately makes the house feel a little more elevated.
A few things I’d change:
👉 The garage entry. For a younger family, I need a drop zone. Backpacks, coats, shoes, sports stuff… all of it. I’d add a really good built-in cubby system in the garage because there just isn’t enough organization at that rear entry for me.
👉 There are several storage closets in the garage, but realistically, we’d probably need to use one of those as a mechanical closet.
👉 Kitchen sink in the island — what do we think? I go back and forth on this one. I love a big clean island, but I also understand why people like standing at the sink and looking out into the living space.
👉 I LOVE how close the laundry room is to the primary suite…but I’d actually eliminate the door from the primary closet into the laundry room. Give me that wall back for more hanging space! 😂 The laundry is already close enough.
Overall, though? This plan packs A LOT into 1,843 square feet. Four bedrooms, a split-bedroom layout, good living space and a covered back porch without getting into a huge footprint.

SOS - OUR CLIENT NEEDS HELP!
This client is having a hard time deciding if she wants her island to run parallel to the kitchen sink or perpendicular (how it's currently shown). The kitchen sink will sit on the back wall, under the HUGE window. If you run it parallel, your sitting view will look out the window. If you run it perpendicular, you're losing over 1' foot of countertop and cabinet space.
WHICH WOULD YOU CHOOSE?
